UniPulse Privacy Policy
UniPulse is a personal study planner. We designed it to work without collecting your data on our servers. This policy explains what stays on your device, what syncs through Apple iCloud, and what we do not collect.
What UniPulse stores
UniPulse stores the following on your device and in your private iCloud account:
- Your display name and avatar color
- Your exams, projects, due dates, and progress
- Your study session history (date, duration, course)
- Your weekly study goal and notification preferences
This data lives in Apple's iCloud under your Apple ID. We have no access to it. UniPulse does not have its own server or backend.
What UniPulse does NOT collect
- We do not collect analytics, telemetry, or crash logs.
- We do not use third-party tracking SDKs.
- We do not show ads.
- We do not sell or share any data, because we never receive it.
System permissions
UniPulse asks for the following permissions, only when needed:
- Notifications: to remind you about upcoming exams and projects.
- Calendar (write only): to add deadlines to your default calendar if you enable that feature.
You can revoke either permission in iOS Settings at any time.
iCloud sync
If you are signed into iCloud and have iCloud Drive enabled, your UniPulse data syncs to your other devices through Apple's CloudKit. This is governed by Apple's privacy policy. We cannot access this data.
Children
UniPulse is suitable for ages 4+. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children, because we do not collect personal information from anyone.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example if we add new features that change what UniPulse stores. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will also be announced in the app's release notes.
